Top ten horror movies of all time.

10. Black Christmas-A sorority house that is terrorized by frightening calls and eventually frightening acts. Margot Kidder is the icing on the cake by playing a bratty alcoholic co-ed.

9. Re-Animator-
Bright green goo that re-animates body parts...YES! Oh, and did I mention Jeffery Combs.

8. House of 1000 Corpses-Rob Zombie!! Need I say more. This is Rob Zombie at his best, well before he decided to rehash the same style over and over again. Zombie adds a bit of his humor and of course his wife to this homage to Spider Baby and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

7. Evil Dead II-
This is the film which introduces the famous chainsaw attached to Ash's arm.

6. Rosemary's Baby-

Enough said!

5. Fiend Without a Face-
By far on of the best 50's B movies out there. Brain-shaped monsters that suck the brains out of their victims. The town is terrorized and eventually saved by nuclear power. (of course)

4. Night of the Living Dead-
This is one of the only horror movies to ever scare me. This movie has set the bar and noone has come close to making a zombie movie this good.

3. Friday the 13th 2-
It's no secret that I am completely obsessed with the franchise itself (with the exception of the "re-imagining") but the second is the best film out of the lot. Jason is back and he's looking for revenge! You have the campers and the frisky councilors...and of course Jason sans mask. I think that's the part that scares me...the burlap bag he wears.

2. The Roost-
This is a movie I have just watched and that could be why it made it to the number 2 spot. The Roost is the first first full length venture from Ti West, who recently released The House of the Devil, and I think he really hit it out of the park. The Roost starts like an old midnight movie, even with a Vincent Price type host. The movie itself is about vampire bats that attack a group of young kids. The kids become vampires and turn on each other. The films story is pretty simple, but the way it is executed is genius.

1.Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon-
Shot in Portland this film is both a comedy and a horror movie in one. I saw it about 3 years ago and every time I have nothing to watch this goes directly into the dvd player. In the world of Leslie Vernon supernatural serial killers like Jason, Michael, and Freddy really exist. This is the dream of Leslie and he has a camera crew from a journalism school to document the whole thing. Hands down my favorite horror movie of all time...at the moment.

There is nothing I would rather do than sit down with a good horror movie and a glass of wine. Seriously try to get me out of the house if I find one I haven't seen. These are my top 10 for now...although I'm sure this will change within the week!
Enjoy
